Crystal Heart

The best thing that I’m also most famous for, Crystal Heart is a twice-Ennie-nominated webcomic and also a successful roleplaying game, a collaborative work with Aviv Or under our Up to Four Player brand.

The webcomic started around 2017 and has been running weekly since. It’s fun and colourful, but there’s a deeper layer if you want to go there – so indistinguishable from Shakespeare. It features a group of role players who play in a homebrew world which combines elements of anime and Indiana Jones, using the Savage Worlds system – which we explain to the reader as the story progresses.

The Crystal Heart RPG, which is based on Savage Worlds, is a 200-or-so pages of gaming goodness, in the world of Crystal Heart. There’s a free Starter Set, with an adventure and everything!

After a very successful Kickstarter, we created several PDF expansions:

  • Living in Syn, a big (40 pages) expansion, with lots of new stuff.
  • Full of Heart, offering 10 new Crystals.
  • Crystal Heart Action and Adventure Decks, a 54-card poker deck in Crystal Heart style and with portraits of the Heroic Agents, and a 52-card adventure Deck with unique adventure cards.
  • Crystal Heart Printable Miniatures, with lots of art from the book, and lots of new art as well.
  • Crystal Heart Tokens for Virtual Tabletops.
  • Several one-shot adventures written by various authors, including:
    • Delivery in a Wooosh, a chase on the high seas!
    • Ghosts of Iron, a pirate submarine!
    • Quick Take, strange burglaries!
    • Surf’s Way Up, surfing on whirlpools!
    • The Great Hunger, succumbing to dangerous shards!
    • Mixed Heritage, memory fruits in a strange dungeon!
    • Read All About Death!, murder mystery in a city!
    • and Exotic Ingredients, a convention game that’s robust, easy to pace, wacky, has a plethora of memorable moments, and doesn’t take itself seriously any more than minimally required!
